The Dullstroom learning Center and A Goal 4 A Dream Youth Development
Project are organizing a Career day on the 21st of April 2017.
A career day is an event whereby all learners are given the opportunity
to meet people who have had the opportunity to study at a college or university
and/or entered a specific profession and can share their experiences.
Why a career
day?
·
To introduce learners to various careers.
·
To help learners identify the skills needed to achieve
their goals of entering into the career and becoming a successful professional.
·
Wonderful opportunity for the learners of Dullstroom
to learn about careers they have never heard of.
Attendees
expected:
Grade 7 learners.
Location:
The career day will be held at the Mpilonhle Primary School premises
from 13h00 p.m 14h30 p.m.
Career Day Guests
We are inviting people
from Dullstroom and surrounding areas who are willing to share with the
learners from grade 7 about their careers.
They will be giving the children insight into what they do and how they
got into that specific career path. Each Guest is
requested to prepare a 10-minute speech about their career. There will be a
question and answer session after the speech.
Our guests are welcome
to bring anything related to their job to show to the learners, example
pictures or any other tangible objects.
